KSA CAMEL FESTIVAL
As perhaps one of the most unique events in the world, Saudi Arabia’s Camel Festival certainly draws international attention. But beyond the now-famous camel beauty contest, botox controversies and massive prize pot, the Camel Festival is a wonderful heritage and cultural experience in the heart of the Kingdom.
The festival was held over 30 days and hosted 35,000 camels, 6,000 guests, 500 royal guests and leaders from GCC countries, 450 performers, and 14,800 m² of luxurious tents. The festival also featured a heritage village complete with 90 traditional tents, a camel museum, various souks, shops and restaurants, poetry competitions, dance shows, music, outdoor decorations and sculptures.
Content was supplied through the festival, including the final closing event ceremony, during which we scripted and created a fitting tribute to the role of the camel in the Saudi story.
